Telemarketer (B2B Appointment Setter)

We're looking for a driven Telemarketer to generate qualified meetings for our sales and leadership team. You'll research prospects, reach decision-makers through outbound calls, email, and LinkedIn, and book meetings with organizations that can benefit from our services. Most of your outreach will be to school districts, charter schools, private schools, and other education, nonprofit, government, and healthcare organizations.

Expatiate Communications is a management consulting firm specializing in special education. We partner with school districts, COEs, state agencies, and families to strengthen instruction, services, staffing, compliance, and operations. Our work focuses on delivering high-quality, sustainable special education programs that improve outcomes for students with disabilities by meeting IEP needs and building capacity across educator teams.

Work Setting: On-Site

Location: Pasadena, CA 91105

Employment Type: On-Contract/ 40 hours per week

Contract Duration: 3, 6, or 12 months, with the potential for permanent employment

Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience + performance-based commission

What You'll Do

• Research target organizations and build prospect lists.
• Identify and reach decision-makers such as superintendents, special education directors, principals, and executive directors.
• Conduct consistent outbound outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Qualify prospects and schedule meetings with the right stakeholders.
• Confirm appointments and follow up on cancellations, reschedules, and non-responses.
• Log all activity accurately in the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
• Share prospect feedback, common objections, and market trends with leadership.
• Other duties may be assigned.

How Success Is Measured

Outbound activity, meaningful conversations, qualified appointments attended, show rate, opportunities generated, and CRM accuracy. Specific daily, weekly, and monthly targets will be set based on business needs.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in appointment setting, sales development, inside sales, telemarketing, or business development
• Confident phone presence and comfort with cold calling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and follow-up habits
• Comfort with CRM systems and standard business software

Preferred

• B2B appointment-setting experience, especially in professional services
• Experience with school districts or the education, EdTech, or special education sectors
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and relevant prospecting tools
• A track record of meeting or exceeding appointment goals
